Vernessa Mae Johnson, age 50, of Greencastle, PA, passed away unexpectedly in her home. Born November 17, 1974, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of April Mae Stevens and the late Lewis A. Johnson.
Vernessa was a 1992 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School. She was working as a data processor for DMP. Vernessa enjoyed watching movies, spending time with friends, especially her best friend, Amy Kuhn.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Orion Delmos Oldham of Chambersburg, PA and Alexander Wyatt Sheasley of Waynesboro, PA; a grandson, Bryan Gentry; and close friend, Kimberly Young.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the future. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the charity of your choice helping those affected by Hurricane Helene in NC or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
