Thomas W. Caskey, 72, of Newburg, PA passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026 peacefully in his home. Born June 19, 1954 in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy (Fridinger) Caskey.
Tom is survived by two daughters, Danielle Hawkins (husband Vincent) of Newburg, and Teah Barrett of Orrtanna; six grandchildren, Taryn Sistrunk, VaMarion and Viondre Hawkins, Deacon and Allyce Nieves, and Jaxel Barrett; one great-grandchild; Elias Nolan; three siblings, Doug and Ken Caskey and Dori Owens.
In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by four siblings; Pat Knight, Jim and John Jr Caskey, and Jean.
He went to Biglerville High School and later enlisted into the United States Marines. He was a helicopter mechanist in the Vietnam war, and was honorably discharged in 1977.
Tom worked at the Salvation Army in the maintenance department for three years, then due to illness had to retire his position.
He loved going on rides to the mountains, the outdoors, listening to good music, watching tv, his coin collection, and spending time with his family and dog Blue.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
