Thomas E. Kauffman, Sr., 75, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was born March 14, 1950, in Waynesboro, PA, the son of the late Mervin and Janet (Hess) Kauffman, Sr.
Tom worked as a Sawyer heavy equipment operator and landscaper in his younger years, then retired in 2015 from the Woods Company in Chambersburg.
He enjoyed riding Harleys, gardening, cooking, hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He loved all animals.
Tom is survived by his two children, Emmy (Scott Jeffrey) Miner of Fayetteville, PA, and Thomas (Paul) Kauffman, Jr. of South Mountain, PA; a sister, Betty Naugle, of Fayetteville, PA; one grandson, Bruce Kauffman, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his son, Bruce Kauffman, Sr.; two sisters, Margaret Sheffler and Shirley Chambers; two brothers, Mervil Kauffman, Jr. and Kenneth (Woody) Kauffman.
There will be no funeral services at this time, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date this summer.
