Mrs. Teresa A. (Downin) Kauffman, 66, of Mont Alto, PA passed away Friday, November 14, 2025, in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born June 3, 1959 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Norman and Minnie Retta (Ebersole) Downin.
Teresa graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1977.
She and her husband of over 49 years, James D. Kauffman, were married on October 29, 1976, in Hagerstown, MD.
Teresa worked at Regency Thermographers for many years and later worked part-time as a cleaner at D.L. George and Sons, Waynesboro.
She was an avid reader, who enjoyed playing bingo. She also enjoyed all the years babysitting her grandchildren when they were young.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Keri S. St. Clair (Richard) and Nikki L. Whisler (Kevin), both of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Logan Noll, Alyssa St. Clair, Braelyn Whisler and Brigham Whisler; six siblings, Paul “Butch” Downin (Karen), Richard “Rich” Downin, Kay George (Dick), Cindy Wetzel, Kim Bowersox and Jeff Downin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Donna Crowe, Judy Baker and Kenneth Downin, Sr.; and one nephew, Justin Bowersox.
Services and burial in Harbaugh Church Cemetery, Rouzerville, PA will be private at the convenience of the family.
