Mrs. Susan Clara Szada Beach, 68, of Hagerstown, died Monday evening, May 18, 2020 at Doey’s House of Hospice of Washington County.

Born Zsuzsanna Clara Szada, on May 27, 1951, in Budapest, Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Károly and Zsuzsanna Better Szada.

Mrs. Beach, matriarch of the Godwin family, spent her life collecting photographs and sentiments to reinforce her family’s legacy.

Susan was a very loving and amazing mother and grandmother who operated a daycare center, sharing her love with other young ones.

She very much enjoyed cooking and eating good foods; and music, especially fancying the sounds of Enrique Iglesias.

Susan is survived by her son, Justin P. Godwin, and wife Crystal Godwin of Hagerstown; her grandchildren, Joshua Kahlil Godwin, Leviathan Godwin, Judah Messiah Godwin, Rasza Isaiah Godwin, Avalon Belial Godwin, and Fire Justice Godwin; an unborn grandchild, Justin Palmer Godwin, Jr.; her sister, Nicolette Szada of Hungary; the mother of her six grandchildren, Patrice Godwin of Hagerstown; her former spouse Keith Godwin of West Virginia; and the family dog whom she adored “Fierce”.

The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is handling the arrangement for the family A private memorial service will be held.
