Mrs. Sondra L. Sheffler, 88, a resident of Paramount Senior Living, Fayetteville, PA and formerly of Waynesboro, PA passed away Tuesday morning, May 26, 2026, in the nursing home.
Born September 28, 1937 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late William C. Sheffler, Sr. and L. Jane (Cool) Sheffler. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.
She graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1955.
Sondra worked for 1st National Bank of Waynesboro for 25 years and later Citizens Bank, Waynesboro for 18 years. She retired in 1999. She also worked as a part time realtor with Mountain Valley Real Estate, Waynesboro.
She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God, Waynesboro.
Sondra is survived by one brother, William C. Sheffler, Jr. (Mary Ellen), both of Waynesboro; her sister-in-law, Mary Sheffer of Waynesboro; one niece, Diane M. Sheffler of Waynesboro; two nephews, Brian L. Sheffler of Martinsburg, WV and Jeffrey R. Sheffler of Waynesboro; her companion, Harold Cordell of Waynesboro; and several great nieces and nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Steven B. Reiber and one brother, Jack M. Sheffler.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 29, 2026 in Green Hill Cemetery, 953 S. Potomac St., Waynesboro, PA.
