Mrs. Shirley I. (Naugle) Daywalt, 76, of South Mountain, PA went home to be with the Lord Sunday morning, May 19, 2024, at her home. She anxiously awaited entering into Heaven and being with her family.
Born August 20, 1947 in Adams County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roy D. and Bessie (Bigham) Naugle. She was a lifelong resident of the South Mountain area.
She and her husband of over 57 years, Timothy Daywalt, were married on March 4, 1967.
Mrs. Daywalt worked at South Mountain Restoration as a housekeeping supervisor. She retired after more than 34 years of service.
She attended New Baltimore Church of God, South Mountain and enjoyed yard sales, going to church and going out to eat. She also loved to color and enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Rebecca Wagaman (Greg), Bradley Daywalt (Melissa) and Amy Kauffman (Scott), all of South Mountain; seven grandchildren, Greg, Justin, Matt, Meghan, Darien, Grady and Haley; four great-grandchildren, Dustin, Reed, Aaliyah and Hunter; two sisters, Patsy Null of Myrtle Beach, SC and Marcia Greene of Waynesboro; two brothers, Barry Naugle of New Oxford, PA and Daniel Naugle of South Mountain, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Rosetta Henderson; and one brother, Roy A. Naugle.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in New Baltimore Church of God, 4947 Spruce Road, Fayetteville, PA with Pastor Lee Daywalt officiating. Burial will follow in Strang’s Cemetery, South Mountain.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Wednesday afternoon, in the church.
