Sheldon A. Glessner passed away on Sunday June 8, 2025 at Paramount Senior Living in Chambersburg. He was born February 7, 1941, in Baltimore, the son of the late Elvie and George Glessner.Sheldon spent his early life in Shanksville, PA and was a 1959 graduate of Stonycreek High School. He was employed by James River Corporation, Chambersburg for over 30 years as a forklift operator and was a member of Freedom in Christ Church, Chambersburg. Sheldon is survived by his sons, Wade Glessner and wife Lisa, Gary Glessner and wife Donna, stepdaughter, Michel Mellott and husband Jesse, grandchildren, Nathan Glessner and wife Trisha, Adrienne Mulka and husband Jerry and Stefanie Glessner and step grandchildren, Coty and Caleb Covert. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Glessner, great grandson Blaine Michael Glessner, sister, Lois Glessner and an infant sister Leta Glessner. The funeral will be Friday, June 13, at 10 am with Pastor John Pogue officiating at Sellers Funeral Home in Chambersburg. There will be a viewing on Thursday, June 12, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Stenger Hill Cemetery, Fort Loudon On condolences may be expressed at sellersfuneralhome.com.
