Sara Elizabetha (Menia) Lundy March 12, 1936 – February 8, 2026 Sara Elizabetha (Menia) Lundy, age 89, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. She was born on March 12, 1936, in East Pike Run Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Rebello Menia and Hazel Gales. Sara spent most of her life in Washington County before relocating to Chambersburg in 2012. Sara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Lundy; her brother, August Menia; her son, William S. Gaskill; her nephews, Thomas Menia and Kenneth Menia; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne Gaskill; and her step-granddaughter, Amy Lynn Lundy Cruz. She is survived by her daughter, Renee R. (Wright) Geho; her sons, David A. Gaskill (Bertha), Daniel L. Gaskill, Joseph D. A. Gaskill (Brian Rudisill), Richard E. Wright, and Ronald R. Wright (Deanna); and her stepsons, Tim Lundy (Rose) and Keith Lundy (Kim). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Sara loved spending time with her family and friends and was always ready for a game of cards or dominoes. Her warmth, laughter, and love of togetherness will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She had a strong faith in and love for Jesus Christ and shared the Good Word with family, friends, and everyone she met. Sara was employed at Charland Sportswear and later managed the Charland Credit Union. She retired after many years of dedicated service as manager of the UALU 354 Federal Credit Union. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Sellers Funeral Home in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by the service at 3:00 p.m. A second Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, on Saturday March 14, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
