Mrs. Ruby Elizabeth Staley, 112, of Hagerstown, died Sunday morning, March 28, 2021, at Williamsport Retirement Village, Williamsport.  She was the wife of the late Fern Roscoe Staley, her husband of 53 years who preceded her in death on April 14, 1988.

Born June 8, 1908, in Halfway, she was a daughter of the late Eva Laura Martin Snyder and step-father, Clarence Blaine Snyder.

Mrs. Staley worked with Southern Shoe Company, Fairchild Aircraft Company, and L&B Hat Shop, all of Hagerstown.

She was a longtime member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Hagerstown.

Surviving is her last sibling, Elizabeth C. Ridenour, of Hagerstown; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Arvella L. Snyder, Mary H. Goetz, Charlotte M. Hoover, Carl R. Boncord, and Boyd C. and Herbert H. Snyder.

The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Friday, April 2, beginning at 11:00 AM until time of the service beginning at 12:00 PM.  Her pastor, Rev. Jake M. Caldwell, will officiate.   Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Staley’s memory to the memorial fund of her church, and sent to First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 1345 Potomac Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland  21742-3393.
