Mr. Ronald T. Chambers, Jr., 56, of South Mountain, PA, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, in the Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA.

Born June 14, 1969 in Morristown, NJ, he was the son of the late Ronald T. Chambers, Sr. and Dolores (Villani) Chambers.

Ronald graduated from Fairfield High School with the Class of 1987.

He and his wife of over 29 years, Melissa A. (Wilson) Chambers, were married on May 18, 1996, in the South Mountain Bible Church.

In his early life, Ronald worked for Keystone Homes, Waynesboro. He was currently employed by Manitowoc Cranes, Shady Grove, PA, as a structural engineer specialist. He had been with the company for over 29 years.

He was a member of The Owl’s Club, Waynesboro and the Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Association.

Ronald enjoyed cooking, grilling, and trying new foods and restaurants. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his German Shepherd, Abby.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Ashlyn N. Welsh (Jeff) of Fayetteville; his siblings, Dolores Barnes of Waynesboro, Nancy Funt of Waynesboro, Sterling Shultz of Waynesboro, Lennis Shultz of Waynesboro, Allen Shultz, III of South Mountain, Marty Shultz of Pond Bank, PA, and Arthur Chambers of Chambersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Shirley M. (Kauffman) Shultz Chambers and his special aunt, Carol Villani.  

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday evening, August 27, 2025 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, PA.

Religious services and burial in Strang’s Cemetery, South Mountain, will be private at the convenience of the family.
