Mr. Robert Allen “Bob” Speilman, 90, of Williamsport, died early Wednesday night, January 16, 2019, at Williamsport Retirement Village.

Born December 11, 1928, in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Leila M. Speilman.  He graduated from Waynesboro High School.

Bob was employed early in his life at Letterkenny Ordnance Depot, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; and retired in 1991 with 35 years of service from the Pangborn Corporation, Hagerstown.

He was a protestant by faith.

Bob was members of the Benevolent and Protect Order of Elk, #378, Hagerstown, The Redmen, Conococheague Tribe #84, Williamsport, the Pangborn Quarter Century Club, and National AARP.

While he is the last of his immediate family, Bob will be fondly remembered by the family of Ruth Malott, who cared for him.  Mrs. Malott, who preceded him in death in May, 2018, was his long-time companion of over 40 years.

Additionally, besides his mother and companion, Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, the late Albert and Nettie Speilman.

The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.  There will not be visiting at the funeral home.  A graveside service will be held Friday, January 18, 2:00 PM, in Harbaugh Church Cemetery, 14301 Harbaugh Church Road, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.  Rev. Jeffrey S. Casto, chaplain with Hospice of Washington County, will officiate.

The omission of flowers is requested.  Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Speilman’s name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland 21742.
