Mr. Robert K. “Bob” Sharrah, 62, of Waynesboro, passed away on his birthday, Friday, August 16, 2024.
Born on August 16, 1962 in Waynesboro, he was the son of Mrs. Judith E. “Judy” (Rowe) Sharrah of Waynesboro and the late Mr. Larry E. “Dick” Sharrah who passed away April 12, 2020.
Bob was a graduate of Waynesboro Area High School with the Class of 1980.
A carpenter by trade, he had been employed by Tom Bakner, S.C. & S Construction and Hess Builders, to name a few. For the past 18 years, Bob worked for Waynesboro Construction.
He was a member of the Owl’s Club, Eagles Club, Inc., Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15 and B.P.O. Elks Lodge #731. He also coached Little League Baseball in the Waynesboro area for many years.
An avid outdoorsman, Bob enjoyed the game of golf and spending time at his hunting camp in Shade Gap, especially when the annual Shade Gap Squirrel Competition was held. He favorite teams included the New York Yankees, Penn State Nittany Lions and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In addition to his mother, Bob leaves behind his brother, Brett Sharrah and his wife, Jackie of Waynesboro; the Calimer Family; and nieces and nephews as well as a host of dear friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carole Harris who passed away June 12, 2024.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 P.M., Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Owls Club Picnic Grounds, Marsh Road, Waynesboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society or Waynesboro Youth Baseball League.
