Raymond E. Hamilton, 76, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital in Camp Hill, PA. He was born September 22, 1949, in Waynesboro, PA. He was the son of the late Paul and Eileen (Schetrompf) Hamilton.
He was a graduate of Chambersburg High School. He was a cable splicer and supervisor for United telephone company in Chambersburg. Later in his career he attended Wilson College. He was a member of the Charles Nitterhouse VFW post 1599 in Chambersburg, and the American Legion post 46 in Chambersburg. Raymond enjoyed the outdoors, he was an avid hunter, golfer, was the handyman around their family home and he relished his vegetable garden. His greatest happiness came from the time he shared with those he loved.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Robin (Crouse) Hamilton; son Tyler Hamilton (Kristen) of Chambersburg, PA; grandchildren Taylor Black, of Fayetteville, NC, and Emma Hamilton, of Chambersburg, PA; siblings Lester Hamilton (Jeannie) of Fayetteville, PA, Deb Over of Greenvillage, PA, Rick Hamilton (Karen) of Chambersburg, Vickie Guyer of Chambersburg and Greg Hamilton of Chambersburg; also nieces and nephews.
In honoring Raymond’s wishes, there will be no visitation.
