Born October 23, 1958, in Shippensburg, PA, he was the son of the late Norman and Jean (Mackey) Hepfer and was lovingly raised by his beloved Pap, David Monn.
Mr. Hepfer graduated from Shippensburg High School with the Class of 1976.
He was employed at Ingersoll Rand where he worked in quality control for a number of years. He later opened up his own construction company known as RCS or “Randy’s Construction.” Following his retirement, he enjoyed working firsthand with his son at his business, DVH Metals, Mercersburg, PA part time.

He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and found joy in the things that mattered the most – Jesus, faith, family, friendship and time spent doing what he loved. He was a hardworking, dedicated man who had a special love for sailboats, camping, and reading, especially a nice, thick book. He could often be found playing guitar and jamming with old friends and shooting guns. Above all else, he loved his children, his grandson, and his furry companion Sophi deeply.
He is survived by his children, Danielle Hepfer of Greencastle, Dustina Bowers and her husband Tyler of Charleston, SC, Dexter Hepfer of Mercersburg, and Jasmine Miller of Chambersburg, PA; one grandson whom he loved deeply, Beau Hepfer; two nephews, Ty and Tanzan Hepfer; his friend Susie Barnes; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
