Mr. Ralph J. Miller, 85, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Born April 14, 1940, in Brownsville, PA, he was the son of the late Ernest and Margaret (Posonski) Miller.

Mr. Miller was a graduate of Brownsville High School with the Class of 1958.

He served his country with pride in the United States Marine Corp., achieving the rank of Corporal prior to his discharge and had the honor of guarding President Eisenhower at Camp David.

He and his wife, the late Mrs. Miriam J. (Melzar) Miller, were married March 15, 1964. They shared over 54 years together when she passed away June 20, 2018.

Mr. Miller worked in construction for several companies in Maryland, Virgina and Washington D.C. including Keller Brothers. A dedicated and conscientious employee, he was able to work his way through the ranks, retiring as Superintendent after almost 50 years of service.

Mr. Miller attended services at Waynesboro Bible Church and studied his Bible faithfully. Living out his faith, he was generous with his resources supporting numerous charitable organizations. His desire to help others lead him to become a paramedic and EMT.

An athletic and energetic individual, he loved to golf, play tennis and pool and shared his skills through coaching. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather whose greatest joy was the time spent with his beloved grandchildren.

Mr. Miller is survived by two sons, Larry R. Miller and his wife, Amy of Aspers, PA and Doug J. Miller and his wife, Diane of Renfrew, PA; four grandchildren, Brandon Miller, Chase Miller and his wife, Samantha, Jimmy Miller and his wife, Jenny and Amanda Miller; one great-grandson, Jack James Miller; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was the last of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ann Cowie; and two brothers, Ernest Miller and Dick Miller.

A celebration of Ralph’s life is being planned. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, PA, is handling the arrangements.
