Richard “Dale” Haugh, 78, of Quincy, PA, passed February 24, 2025 in the Chambersburg Hospital.

He was born September 2, 1946, in Waynesboro, PA to Reginald C. Haugh and Gladys B. (Miller) Haugh.

He graduated from Waynesboro Area High School with the Class of 1965. He joined the US Marine Corp 2” Division in 1966 where he served as a Corporal until 1968, including a tour in Vietnam. He served an additional 5 years in the Marine Corp Reserves.

Dale worked for the Good Lumber Company and the American Can Company before his employment from 1970-2016 as a machinist at the Landis Machine Company. He was a member of the Quincy United Methodist Church for over 50 years and served on its Board of Trustees.

An avid sports fan, he loved the Green Bay Packers and had amassed an impressive collection of sports memorabilia.

Dale coached all levels of Quincy youth baseball. It was while coaching her younger brothers that he met his wife of 57 years, Nancy K. (Swope) Haugh. They have two children, daughter Michelle D. Geesaman (Stephen) of Waynesboro, and son Bradley E. Haugh (Andrea) of Fairfield, and four grandchildren, Brett P. Haugh, Elysabeth N. Haugh, Avery W. Geesaman and Ariana D. (Geesaman) Slaybaugh (Ryan), who went to be with God on January 2, 2025. He is also survived by siblings Clarabelle Johnson, James Haugh and Douglas Haugh; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, PA with Pastor Loretta McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Quincy Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Wednesday morning, in the funeral home.
