Prather Ellsworth Hull, Sr., 91, of Greencastle went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, February 19, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born February 2, 1921, in Hagerstown, he was a son of the late Charles Lloyd and Gertrude Trumpower Hull.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Virginia Lee Miller Hull, who died in 2009.
Mr. Hull retired from Jamison Door Company, Hagerstown, in 1989; and was also a farmer.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Clear Spring,
Surviving are his daughters Barbara J. Suder of Mercersburg, and Arlene K. Shank and Joann E. Grove, both of Greencastle; and a son Prather E. Hull, Jr., also of Greencastle; as well as eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, John Curtis Grove; and siblings Louise V. Muritz, and Harold and William Hull.
Arrangements are being handled by the Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown. There will not be calling at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 3, 2012, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Clear Spring. The Rev. W. Allen Reed will officiate. Inurnment will be in the churchyard. The family will receive friends following the service.
