Peter “Pete” H. Mason beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on September26th, after a courageous two and a half year battle with leukemia. His positivity and indomitable spirit were an inspiration to many.

     Pete was born on December 19, 1946 in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Pete and his wife Becky moved their family from Wisconsin to New Jersey in 1982. Throughout his life Pete touched the hearts of many with his kindness and loyalty. He had an innate ability to make instant connections with people with his personal anecdotes and stories. He was a devoted husband of 55 years to Becky and a loving father to his three sons: Stuart (wife Lauren), Tim, and Luke(wife Amy). Pete was a proud grandfather to his 4 grandchildren (Maggie, Molly, Jack and Althea). He is also survived by his loving sister, Cindy and two brothers, John and Chris.

     Pete had a tireless work ethic and made significant contributions to Wacker Neusen Corp.where he worked for 35 years. He cherished his co-workers and the friendships he made there.

     In 2017, Pete and Becky retired to Fayetteville, Pennsylvania where they built a home on Penn National Golf Club. Pete was an avid golfer and loved his golfing buddies. In May, 2022 a month before his diagnosis, Pete scored a hole in one on 17 of the Founders Course.

      A true dog lover, Pete found joy in the simple act of companionship and could often be found chatting with neighbors while walking his English Setter, Jersey.

     A passionate history buff, Pete enjoyed volunteering as a tour guide in the Franklin County area.In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Franklin County Visitors Bureau at15 S Main street Chambersburg, PA 17201. On the check please write “in memory of Pete Mason” .

     A memorial service will be held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Chambersburg,PA. Date and time of the arrangements will be announced shortly.
