Mr. Peter A. “Pete” Pappas, 78, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025, in SpiritTrust Lutheran, Chambersburg.
Born September 15, 1946, in Altoona, PA, he was the son of the late Christ and Helen (Karaoulis) Pappas.
Mr. Pappas graduated from Altoona High School with the class of 1964.
He served his country honorable in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1972.
Mr. Pappas worked for Roadway Trucking as a supervisor for 27 years.
He was a member of the V.F.W., Chambersburg. A simple man at heart, he lived life with quiet dedication and passion. For 42 years, he proudly held season tickets to Penn State University football games, a traditional that brough him great pride and countless memories. He found joy in golfing, and all things trivia. Above all else, he was a devoted father, whose daughter, was truly the apple of his eye. He especially cherished time with his grandson, whom he thought the world of.
Mr. Pappas in survived by his beloved daughter, Jennifer Fisher and her husband Perry of Chambersburg; one grandson, Brycen Kibler; his siblings, Jeanne Friedman and her children Eugenia and Elizabeth, Steve and Rose Marie Pappas and their children, Stephanie, Phanessa, and Helen, Greg and Amy Pappas and their children Chris, Emma, and Peter, and Michael Pappas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Christine Pappas.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
