Mr. Paul D. Schedler, 87, of Mont Alto, PA passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Cedar Haven Healthcare Center, Lebanon, PA.
Born February 27, 1939 in Orange, NJ, he was the son of the late Matthew P. and Margaret G. (Lenehan) Schedler.
Mr. Schedler was a graduate of St. Benedict Prep School in Newark, NJ with the Class of 1956. He later received his Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management from the University of Denver.
He and his wife, the late Judith Ann (O’Toole) Schedler, were married September 3, 1966 in St. Andrew Catholic Church, Waynesboro. Mrs. Schedler died on April 29, 2026.
Mr. Schedler began his employment with Penn State University, Mont Alto Campus as manager of housing and food services. He retired in 1991 as Director of Business Services after 30 years of service.
He was a member of Corpus Christ Catholic Church, Chambersburg where he served on the Retreat committee, was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #1426 and sang in the Resurrection Society. He also was a past member of Mont Alto Town Council.
Mr. Schedler enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by two sons, Mark E. Schedler and his wife, Lisa of Alexandria, VA and Steven J. Schedler and his wife, Amy of Hershey, PA; two grandchildren, Levi J. Schedler and Madelyne R. Schedler; one brother, Matthew T. Schedler of York, PA; and one nephew.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Elaine Schedler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 6, 2026 in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 12 N. Broad St., Waynesboro, PA with Rev. Christopher Onyeneke, MSSCC officiating. Burial will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Monday morning, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
