Mrs. Patsy G. (Smith) Mickley, 90, of Waynesboro, PA passed away peacefully Saturday, February 21, 2026, in her home surrounded by her family.
Born May 25, 1935 in Cavetown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Carmen Irene (Brown) Smith.
Mrs. Mickley graduated from Smithsburg High School with the Class of 1953.
She and her husband, the late Ira G. “Bud” Mickley, were married on April 3, 1954 in the Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, formerly known as the Cavetown Reformed Church.
In her early life, Mrs. Mickley worked at the Waynesboro Knitting Mill, Connie’s Sportswear and Austin Hill. She later owned and operated Pat’s Place in Waynesboro and continued working out of her home sewing for others.
She was a lifetime member of the Virginia Ave. Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, where she was a former secretary. She also attended Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, Cavetown, MD, in her younger years. She was a member of the Rangers Hunting and Gun Club in Potter County, PA.
She is survived by three children, Suzanne K. Stremmel and husband Duane of Waynesboro, Dennis A. Mickley and wife Susan of Chambersburg, PA and Jeffory L. Mickley and Sharon Monn of Waynesboro; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Roberta Minnich of Waynesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Jacqueline Kendall, Doris Windsor and Peggy Harbaugh.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 27, 2026 in LCBC Church, 13450 Midvale Road, Waynesboro, PA with Pastor Tim Carver officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD and the public is welcome to attend.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Friday morning, in the church.
