Patsy Anne (Reed) Etter, 84, formerly of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026 in Chambersburg Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 5, 1941 in Royston, GA, she was the daughter of the late William and Cecil (Welborn) Reed.
Patsy graduated from Elberton County High School (GA) with the Class of 1959.
She dedicated 17 years as a resident assistant at Michaux Manor Assisted Living Center, South Mountain, PA.
While her children were young, she was an active volunteer in their activities, including Den Mother and PTO. She was very supportive of her children and grandchildren and enjoyed traveling the world with her family, especially trips to Myrtle Beach and Garden City, SC. Patsy loved everything Georgia, including the Georgia Bulldogs, peaches, pecans, magnolias and hummingbirds.
Patsy is survived by three children, Donna R. Etter (Bo) of Quincy, PA, Mark S. Etter (Dorothy) of Chambersburg, PA and Stacy E. Beck (Tom, Jr.) of Waynesboro; six grandchildren, David, Amy (Brad), Joshua (Crystal), Monica, Ashlyn and Ryleigh; five great-grandchildren, Quinn, Bryce, Reed, Trae and Natalie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Lee Tetterton, Mildred Rucker, Vennie Patriquin and Bonnie Wood; and three brothers, Hugh Reed, Travis Reed and Merwin “Billy” Reed.
Services and burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Royston, GA will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to take the opportunity to thank the staff of Chambersburg Skilled Nursing and Rehab and Journey Hospice for the wonderful care their mother received.
