Patricia (Patti) Anne Shew, 63, of Chambersburg, went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 18, 2026. She was born April 8, 1963, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and was the daughter of the late Patricia Anne Hellings.
-
Patti was a 1981 honors graduate of Fannett-Metal High School and participated in Marketing Technology at Franklin County Vo-Tech. She co-owned Patti’s Doll Spa and Craft Studio and worked for St. Thomas Towing and Recycling. Her most recent job, and her favorite, was being a Sunday school teacher and taking care of her grandchildren.
-
Patti enjoyed baking, poetry, gardening in her flower beds, and always had something crafty going on. She also enjoyed going to church with her husband, cooking for her family, and shopping with her grandchildren. However, the most important things in her life were being a wife for 44 years to her husband, Randy W. Shew, and being a mother to her two children, Candice A. Shew and Anthony W. Shew. But her greatest pride and joy was being a Grammy to her two grandchildren, Carolina N. Shew and Walker W.J. Baker, and loving her puppy, Nittany.
-
Patti enjoyed watching her granddaughter play softball and her grandson play football and baseball. She loved taking care of her grandkids every day, watching the birds with her husband, and watching the Eagles and Penn State with her family. Many days were spent at home, playing ball with Nittany.
-
Patti will be dearly missed by her Sunday school kids and by all those she inspired through her love of Jesus. In addition to her husband, children, and grandchildren, Patti is survived by her four brothers: Tom (Roberta) Passarella, Dave (Cherie) Baitinger, Jim (Trish) Baitinger, and John (Pam) Baitinger. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
