Mrs. Patricia A. (Kesselring) Kocek, 74, of Mont Alto, PA, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025, in the Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA.
Born March 6, 1951 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clifford D. and Clara Jane (Reed) Kesselring.
Mrs. Kocek graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1969.
She and her husband over 37 years, Pastor Frank J. Kocek, were married June 4, 1988, in Mont Alto.
In her early life, she worked for the Carroll Shoe Company. She later was employed as the secretary for the Borough of Mont Alto, retiring in 2018.
She was a member of Mont Alto United Methodist Church, Little Cove United Methodist Church, Rehoboth United Methodist Church, and Warfordsburg United Methodist Church, where her husband was serving as pastor. Mrs. Kocek also enjoyed making candy and baking.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Clifford A. Kesselring of Mont Alto, and Keith D. Kesselring of Waynesboro; one niece, Tracy L. Kesselring; and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one nephew, Nathan Kesselring; and one niece, Melissa Pryor.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 24, 2025 in the Mont Alto United Methodist Church, 10 S. Main St., Mont Alto, PA with Pastor Loretta McClure and Rev. Dr. Sam Sheffler officiating. Burial will be private in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday evening, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, PA.
