Mr. Orville Edward Mitchell, 82, of Williamsport, died early Thursday morning, May 6, 2021, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown. He was the husband of the late Pauline Annie Eshelman Mitchell, who preceded him in death in 1981.
Born June 18, 1938, at home in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Daniel Frederick, Sr. and Marion E. Mitchell. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Mitchell had previously worked with Reynolds and Reynolds, formerly Arnold Graphics Company, Hagerstown; and with Washington County and Western Maryland Hospitals.
Surviving are his children, Joanna Marie Mitchell, and Mark Edward Mitchell and wife Joanne, all of Greencastle; by his granddaughter Josefa “Sefy” Febus and her fiancé Brian Lawyer, of West Virginia; and his brother Fred Mitchell of Hagerstown.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is assisting the family with arrangements. There will not be visiting at the funeral home. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
