Dr. Norman N. Thrope, 88, of Boca Raton, Florida, and formerly a long time resident of Hagerstown, died Monday, November 24, 2014, in Boca Raton. He was the husband of Sydell Thrope, his loving wife of 62 years.
He was born October 20, 1926, in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Thrope practiced Dentistry in Hagerstown for forty years. In conjunction, he was a member of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.
He was a former president and active member of Congregation B’nai Abraham, Hagerstown.
Additionally, he is survived by his son, Gerrold Thrope and wife Denise of Owings Mills.
The funeral service will be at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Friday, November 28, at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at B’nai Abraham Cemetery, Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown. Rabbi Ariel D. Plost will officiate.
