Mr. Norman Edward “Eddie” Cline, Jr., 80, of Waynesboro, PA and formerly of Mount Airy, MD, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, in his home.

Born October 24, 1943 in Frederick, MD. He was the son of the late Norman E. Cline, Sr. and Ruth (Hymiller) Cline.

He graduated with the class of 1961 from Mount Airy High School, Mount Airy, MD.

He married Juanita E. (Flook) Cline in December of 1963 in Boonsboro, MD.

Eddie was owner/operator of Cline Electric located in Mount Airy, MD from 1972 until he retired in 2017.

He was a member of Lighthouse Ministries Church of God in Mount Airy, MD. He also attended Lifehouse Church in Chambersburg and Otterbein Church in Waynesboro.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Eddie was a soft-spoken man who wasn’t afraid to learn new things. After his marriage, he learned to water ski and found a new hobby in boating. This led to a life at Lake Anna, VA which Eddie was thrilled to share with all his family and friends. Another hobby was music, he enjoyed his guitars (acoustic, electric and bass). He played for church worship and for pleasure. Eddie and his wife, Juanita were part of a group of friends that would go once a month to a nursing home and entertain the residents with music and song. After retirement, he found a new passion for pedal steel guitar which he taught himself.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Barbara A. Corbin and her husband, David of Smithsburg, MD and Teresa D. Wyatt and her husband, Daniel of Waynesboro, PA; four grandchildren: Troy Corbin and his wife, Laura, Brent Corbin and his wife, Heather, Makayla Wiles and Myranda Spigler and her husband, Adam; six great-grandchildren: Cooper Corbin, Troy (JR) Corbin, Raelyn Wolff, Kensi Corbin, Silas Wolff and Mason Corbin, two nephews: Donald and David Davis and brother-in-law, George Davis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, June Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 31, 2024 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro, PA with Rev. Joe Newberry officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, PA.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Friday afternoon, in the funeral home.
