Mr. Neil I. Hollinger, 71, of Rouzerville, PA passed away Friday morning, October 17, 2025, in his home.
Born October 19, 1953 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Bernard L. and Marian P. (Deardorff) Hollinger.
He was a graduate of Mayfield High School in Las Cruces, NM.
Neil served over 20 years in the United States Military – serving 17 years in the Navy and 3 years in the Air Force. Following his retirement from the military, he worked Grove Manufacturing, Shady Grove, PA, Olympic Steel, Chambersburg, PA and Abraxas Youth Center, South Mountain, PA.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed making strawberry jam and deer jerky.
He is survived by his companion of over 12 years, Crystal Ellenburg of Rouzerville, PA; one daughter, Rashelle Matheis of Glasgow, KY; two step-daughters, DeeDee Shatzer and Sherry Lodge; bonus kids, KG Frazier, Crystal Frazier-Tracey and James Frazier; three grandchildren, Alexis Underwood, Shelby Underwood and Keenan Underwood; 15 bonus grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one bonus great-grandchild; one brother, Wendell Hollinger; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Hollinger; two infant children, Crystal Hollinger and Stephen Hollinger; and his siblings, Bernard “Bernie” Hollinger, Keith Hollinger and Lynn Hollinger.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
