Mrs. Nancy L. (Helman) Scott, 84, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024.
Born November 24, 1939 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine (Stouffer) Helman.
Mrs. Scott was a graduate of Waynesboro Area High School with the Class of 1957.
She was employed by South Penn Power Company and later West Penn Power, both of Waynesboro for over 26 years, as a customer service representative. Following her retirement, she worked at Tip Top Cleaners, Waynesboro, for several years.
Mrs. Scott attended Otterbein Church, Waynesboro and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
She enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and watching old Westerns on TV.
Mrs. Scott is survived by one daughter, Cathy Jo Lushbaugh and her husband, David of Smithsburg, MD; two grandchildren, Katie Lushbaugh (Mark Swope) and Daniel Lushbaugh; nephew, Arley Scott (Sharon); two great-nieces; and two great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, JoAnn Honodel; and her nephew, Brent Scott.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 23, 2024 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Pastor John Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Wednesday afternoon, in the funeral home.
