Mrs. Nadine F. Swope, 83, a resident of Shippensburg Heath Care Center, Shippensburg, PA and formerly of Mont Alto, PA and Pennersville Road, Waynesboro, PA died Tuesday, August 13, 2024, in the nursing home.
Born February 3, 1941 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Albert and Florence Charlotte (Kump) Swope.
She attended Leitersburg schools, Quincy Township schools, Washington Township schools and Waynesboro Area Senior High School.
Nadine worked at Stanley Company, which later became J. Schoenman Company, in Chambersburg, for over 35 years until the company closed. She later worked at Mountain Gate Family Restaurant, Waynesboro, as a buffet runner and baker, from September 2, 1997 until her retirement on July 21, 2004.
She enjoyed crocheting, watching nascar racing, and taking care of her beloved cats.
She is survived by one daughter, Jamie (Swope) Working (Ken Working, Jr.) of Shippensburg, PA; one grandson, Kevin L. Swope (Jessica) of Greencastle, PA; and two great-grandchildren, Leland Swope and Hudson Swope.
Graveside services will be private at the convenience of the family in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, PA.
