Mr. Myron M. “Mike” Saterbak, 83, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away July 27, 2025 in Mercy House, Chambersburg, PA, following a brief illness.
Born July 25, 1942 in Wheaton Village, MN, he was the son of the late M. Kenney and Ida (Raguse) Saterbak.
He was a graduate of Wheaton High School with the Class of 1960. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, enlisting in 1964 and then was honorably discharged in 1984. Mike was then employed by Halifax Corporation.
He was an active member of Otterbein Church in Waynesboro where he served as an Elder and on the Management Oversight Team for many years. Mike humbly used his talents to help others. He was often seen serving with a tool in his hands at the church and on Mission trips.
Mike enjoyed fishing, camping, wood working, traveling, visiting National Parks, helping others, laughing and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mrs. Peggy A. (Benchoff) Saterbak; two wonderful daughters, Shauna Rosenberger and Susan Martin and her husband, Dan, all of Chambersburg, PA; four grandsons, Joshua Rosenberger, Michael Rosenberger, David Rosenberger and
Matthew Rosenberger; one brother, Melvin Saterbak and his wife, Kathleen of Golden Valley, MN; and a number of nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Mike also leaves behind Peggy’s family which includes, step-children, Bobby Wise and Cheryl McKeever and her husband, Thomas; step-granddaughters, Erin Jones and her husband, Tim and McKenna Bingaman and her husband, Garet; and three step-great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Carter and Adeline Jones.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first beloved wife, Mrs. Marcia J. (Willyerd) Saterbak who passed away January 4, 2021.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Worship Center at Otterbein Church (912 South Potomac Street, Waynesboro). The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be private at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors.
