In Loving Memory of
Malcolm Kenneth Harris Sr.
August 22, 1934 – October 27, 2026

Malcolm Kenneth Harris Sr., 92, was born on August 22, 1934, in Elkton, Virginia. He passed away peacefully at his home in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, on October 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Malcolm lived a full life, with a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He enjoyed hunting, particularly in Fulton County, fishing, camping, gardening, and bird watching. Whether spending time in the woods, casting a fishing line, tending to his garden, or watching the birds, Malcolm found peace and joy in nature.
At just 17 years old, Malcolm enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country for three and a half years. During his service, he was stationed in Louisiana, where he worked in supply. He was honorably medically discharged.
After settling in Pennsylvania, Malcolm built his life and career in the Chambersburg area. He worked at T.B. Wood’s in Chambersburg, where he eventually retired after years of service.
Malcolm was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Harris, with whom he shared three children.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Mary Tayman.
He leaves behind his three children, Vickie Geisinger and her husband Vernon, Malcolm Harris Jr., and Carol Kopp and her husband Todd, all of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeremy Geisinger and his wife Bethany, of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, and Kayla Mills of Hudson, Florida; and his two great-grandchildren, Baylee Geisinger and Jace Geisinger.
Malcolm will also be missed by Mary’s four sons, Joey Nutwell of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Brian Tayman of Salisbury, Maryland, Timothy Nutwell of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and Mark Nutwell of Hagerstown, Maryland, who were part of the family circle he shared with Mary.
To his grandchildren, he was affectionately known as Pap or Pappy. He will always hold a special place in their hearts.
Malcolm’s love of the outdoors, his years of service to his country, and the memories he created with those closest to him will forever be cherished.
Though he may no longer be with us, his memory will live on through the stories shared, the traditions remembered, and the generations of family who will continue to carry his legacy forward.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
