Miriam M. (Eby) Tucker, daughter of Reuben H. and Edna S. (Martin) Eby, was born on September 2, 1936, in Hagerstown, MD, and passed away, surrounded by her family, on September 1, 2026, one day before her 90th birthday, at the Maugansville Mennonite Home, where she lived for the past seven years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Duane F. Tucker; a stillborn son; a daughter, Barbara; three great-grandchildren; three sisters; and two brothers.
She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Ray Petre of Bedford, PA, Sarah and Stephen Miller of Berlin, PA, Susanna and David Fisher of Lewistown, PA, Huldah and Jason Eby of Waynesboro, PA, and Rachel and Jason Strite of Schellsburg, PA; 22 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; one brother, Seth (Lorraine) Eby; one sister, Elizabeth Martin, whose husband, Ivan, is deceased; and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the Maugansville Mennonite Home, 13434 Maugansville Rd., Hagerstown, MD. There will also be viewing hours on Sunday, September 6, from 1:30 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Flintstone Mennonite School, 20020 W. Flintstone Creek Rd. NE, Flintstone, MD.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 7, 2026 at the Flintstone Mennonite Church, located across the street from the school, with Friends Cove and Flintstone Ministry officiating. A viewing will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will follow in Flintstone Mennonite Church Cemetery, Flintstone.
