Milton F. Payne, 79, of Mercersburg, PA passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 in Chambersburg Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born May 9, 1944 in Frederick, MD he was the son of the late Raymond M. and Ethel P. (Holmes) Payne.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, cooking, and traveling. He loved joking and teasing with everyone.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Virginia R. (Reynolds) Payne; 2 sons, Milton E. Payne and Barry Payne; 6 grandchildren, Nicholas, Megan, Heather, Tiffany, Joel and William and many nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by 5 brothers and 1 sister: Morris, Cliff, Richard, Garry, James, and Betty (Bohrer).
In addition to his parents, Milton is preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Lynn (Franklin), and 2 bothers Melvin and Marshall.
