Ms. Michelle L. (King) Hovis, 59, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, in the Waynesboro Hospital.
Born March 3, 1966 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of Terry L. King of Hagerstown, MD and the late Linda K. (Fahrney) King.
She was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1984.
Michelle was a lab tech with Waynesboro Family Medical Associates. She retired in 2016 after more than 27 years of service.
She was a member of Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, Eagles Club, Inc., Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, and Moose Lodge #1191, all of Waynesboro. She was also a lifetime member of the Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Association.
Michelle loved going to the beach, crafts and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.
In addition to her father, she is survived by one son, Ryan Hovis (Abigail) of Waynesboro; one granddaughter, Blakelee Hovis; one brother, Steven King (Karen) of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; her nephews, Dalton King (Mary Lee) of Waynesboro and Ian King of Blue Ridge Summit King of Blue Ridge Summit; her close friend, Davey Rotz of Waynesboro; and several extended family members.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
