Mr. Michael R. Hill, Jr., 60, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024, in Mercy House, Chambersburg, PA.
Born January 3, 1964, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Michael R. Hill, Sr. and Rev. Barbara A. (Lane) Hill.
Mike was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1982 and later attended Shippensburg University.
He honorably and faithfully served his country with the United States Navy during the Persian Gulf War.
Mike worked for several years as a C&C machinist with D.L. Martin Company, Mercersburg, PA.
His family was his greatest joy and he had a deep passion for automobiles, from racing and repair to reading about them. Additionally, he enjoyed cuisine from all across the world, anime, Tom Ford cologne, Four Roses bourbon, craft beers, art and music, specifically DC Go-Go.
He is survived by his children: Danny Cross, Malaika Hill, Mason Hill, Charlie Waggoner, Allie Waggoner; five grandchildren; his siblings: Marc Hill (Dru) of Woodbridge, VA, Monique Hill of Waynesboro, Matthew Hill of Hephzibah, GA, and Maurice Hill of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 15, 2024 in St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 30 West King Street, Waynesboro, with Rev. Malcolm J.C. Sydnor officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Thursday morning, in the church.
