Mary M. Marfilius, 90, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, Delaware.



Born April 18, 1921, in New York City, New York, she was the daughter of the late Myles and Margaret Mary Hannon Loughlin.



Mrs. Marfilius was preceded in death by her husband Harold J. Marfilius, who died October 26, 1964.



She was employed with the City of New York – Health Hospital Corporation as a Senior Hospital Care Investigator.



She graduated Cathedral High School, New York City, and attended New Rochelle College, New York.



She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Hagerstown; and was a member of Catholic Daughters at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, White Stone, New York.



Surviving is her daughter, Margaret M. Marfilius and her fiancé Douglas S. Lieberman of Williamsport; her sister-in-law Ethna Loughlin of Conroe, Texas; nephew Thomas Loughlin, Jr. and wife Donna of Woodlands, Texas; and niece Ethna Lake and husband John of Salem, South Carolina; as well as eight great nieces and great nephews.



Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Myles E. and Thomas Loughlin.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 25, 2011, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.


Father James Nirappel will celebrate the mass.


The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.



Burial will be in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals Adult Day Services, 101 East Baltimore Street, Hagerstown, MD
