Mary C. Snyder, 95, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Brookview Healthcare Center. She was born January 18, 1929 in Baltimore, MD., the daughter of the late Mary (Marotta) and Alfred Coccagna. She was married to Robert E. Snyder (2006) on October 16, 1954 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Mary was a life time member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and an avid member of the Adoration Chapel. A 1947 graduate of Chambersburg High School, she went on to graduate from the Chambersburg School of Business. Mary worked as a Budget Analyst at Letterkenny Army Depot, retiring after 42 years of service. Over the years, she worked at Glicks Shoe Store, Wilson College, then volunteered at C.O.N.T.A.C.T. and participated in L.A.R.C. Mary was a life member of the Charles Nitterhouse Post #1599 V.F.W. Auxiliary and an auxiliary member of St. Thomas American Legion Post #612, Amvets Post #224 and a member of NARFE. An avid card player, bowler and dancer, she was very fond of taking vacations including, Italy, Las Vegas and cruises, mall walking, traveling and tutoring children. She loved big fluffy clouds, and enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with them. She also took pleasure in attending all of her class reunions. Mary is survived by her two daughters, Danette "Dannie" Snyder Wile and Teresa Lehrian, her sister, Dolores Bokeko, nieces, nephews, cousins and sister in law, Thelma "Sammie" Coccagna. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers: William, Gabriel and Frank Coccagna and son in law, Dr. Harold Lehrian. Mary taught her daughters many lessons in life, the only lesson she didn’t teach them, was how to live without her. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all those who have cared for their mother. There will be a visitation from 5-6:30p.m. and Rosary from 6:30 to 7:00pm on Wednesday evening, April 3, 2024 at Sellers Funeral Home. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024. The Very Rev. Allan Wolfe will be the celebrant. There will be a visitation from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
