Mrs. Mattie Miller, 92, of Smithsburg, died Wednesday afternoon, October 8, 2014, at Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home, Boonsboro. She was the wife of the late Harvey J. Miller.
Born September 2, 1921, in Nappanee, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Emma Miller Hochstetler.
Mattie was a charter member of Providence Mennonite Church, Virginia, Beach, Virginia.
Surviving are her children, Keith Miller of Smithsburg, and Kathy Goodson of Virginia Beach; her grandchildren, Landon & Travis Goodson, Bridget Saville, Rhonda Morales, and Keith Miller, Jr.; as well nine great grandchildren; and her brother, Jerry Hochstetler of Spooner Wisconsin.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is handling the arrangements. There will not be visiting at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 24, 2014, 5:00 PM, at Providence Mennonite Church, 5363 Old Providence Road, Virginia Beach. The Rev. Dale Keffer will officiate. Inurnment will be in Providence Mennonite Church Cemetery.
