Mr. Marion Brent Spade, 69, of Greencastle, PA, entered the presence of his heavenly father on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at his home with his wife by his side.

Born February 15, 1956, in Hagerstown, MD, and grew up in Wolfsville, MD, he is the son of Leah P. (Leatherman) Spade of Hagerstown and the late Floyd C. Spade.

He graduated from Middletown, MD High School with the class of 1974. He also went to VoTech to learn the trade of metal fabrication and welding, which he put to use at Landis Tool Company, where he worked for many years.

He married the love of his life, Michaelann M. (Taylor) Spade on November 29, 1985, in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.

He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Wolfsville, MD and attended Macedonia United Brethren Church, Greencastle. He was a former member of Wolfsville and Myersville EMS. He was a current member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, Hub City Model A and National Street Rod Associations, R.O.M.E.O. Motorcycle Club and Landis Tool Teamsters.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on, building and driving his hot rods and antique vehicles. He was a vendor at the Carlisle and Hershey Flea Markets, where he was very well known and liked. He was an avid attender of the Father and Son Camp Out at the Christian Retreat Center and was a father figure to so many that did not have one in their lives. He loved helping anybody. It did not matter if he knew them or not. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Working on cars with his two sons and spending time with his grandchildren always made his day.

He was a kind, loving, gentle man who did his best to help and lead people to the Lord. From forming a worship group at work and many years of service at former church groups and functions. He will be greatly missed by all of those whose lives he was a part of.

In addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by his two sons: Douglas W. Spade of Clear Spring, MD and Nicholas B. Spade and his wife, Courtney of Waynesboro, PA; two grandsons: Deegan Spade and Driver Spade; his siblings: Alan Spade and his wife, Tina of Myersville, MD, Kevin Spade and his wife, Sara of Smithsburg, MD, Lonnie Spade of Hagerstown, MD and Leslie “Les” Spade and his wife, Deb of Hagerstown, MD.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Wolfsville, MD. A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date. Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.bowersoxfuneralhomes.com.
