Mrs. Marie Lascaro Boyd, 84, of Leisure World, Silver Spring, died suddenly Friday morning, December 14, 2012, at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, Olney. She was the wife of the late Robert Milton Boyd who preceded her in death in 1978.
Born January 9, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Dagro Lascaro.
For almost 40 year Mrs. Boyd worked with Sugar & Sugar Insurance Agency, Washington, District of Columbia.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Mrs. Boyd was a member of Washington Rockville Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge #15, Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 658, Silver Spring, and Fraternal Order of Eagles #3509, Gaithersburg.
Surviving are her children, Richard C. Boyd of Silver Spring, and Patti Boyd deLauder of Walkersville; grandchildren, Doug Boyd, Christina Beachner, Chris Boyd and Maria Blake; as well as by nine great grandchildren, and siblings Nicholas and Anthony Lascaro, both of Louisiana, and Josie Shanks and Frances Maretta, both of Mississippi.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Accamando.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is handling the arrangements. There will not be calling at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 4200 Olney-Laytonsville Road, Olney, on Wednesday, December 26, at 1:30 PM. A memorial service will begin at the church of Wednesday at 2:00 PM. Rev. Patrick K. Carlson, church pastor, will officiate. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
