Mrs. Marguerite F. “Marge” (Feldman) Kiersz, 78, of Falls Church, VA passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at her residence at The Kensington of Falls Church, 700 W. Broad St., Falls Church, VA.
Born January 23, 1948 in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of the late Maynard D. and Marguerite (Shea) Feldman.
She and her late husband, Gregory “Greg” L. Kiersz, were married on September 6, 1969 in Williamsville, NY, and moved to Waynesboro in 1976. Mr. Kiersz passed away May 10, 2005.
Marge graduated from Smith College and earned her Masters of Library Science. She worked for many years as a librarian for the Waynesboro Area School District.
She was a devout member of St. Andrew Catholic Church before moving to Virginia to be closer to her family. She enjoyed volunteering at local charitable organizations and playing Bridge. Marge was also a long-time friend of the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library in Waynesboro, including providing for the creation of Martha’s Garden, in memory of her daughter, Martha S. Kiersz, who passed away June 29, 2014.
She is survived by one son, Benjamin L. Kiersz and his wife, Sandra G. Kiersz of Falls Church, VA; two grandsons, Christopher L. Kiersz and Matthew R. Kiersz; one brother, James Feldman of Roseville, CA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 31, 2026, in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 12 N. Broad St., Waynesboro, PA with Rev. Christopher Onyeneke, MSSCC officiating. Burial will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Friday morning, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, PA.
