Mrs. Margaret S. (Ferguson) Scott, 84, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in her home.
Born September 22, 1940, in Minishant Ayrshire, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. and Marion S. (Bradley) Ferguson.
She was a high school graduate in her home country of Scotland.
She and her husband, Charles W. Scott met in Scotland while he was serving in the United States Air Force and were married June 1, 1959. They stayed in Scotland with their two oldest children until 1961, when they made the United States their permanent home.
During Mrs. Scott’s life, she held several different jobs including working in a flower shop in Scotland, Knouse Fruitland Orchard, formally Blue Mountain, Books-N-Things, and Lowes, all of Waynesboro.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her five children, Alan Scott of Hagerstown, MD, Robert Scott of Shippensburg, PA, Marion Ramsey, Linda Stull, and James Scott, all of Waynesboro; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Rona Davidson and Alex Ferguson of Ayr, Scotland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, David Ferguson, and one grandson, Dane Cook.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro is handling the arrangements.
