Mrs. Lois L. (Bakner) Rock, 90, of Pond Bank, PA passed away Wednesday morning, July 17, 2024, in her home.

Born March 12, 1934 in Fairview, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ray A. and Mary M. (Haugh) Bakner.

Mrs. Rock attended Quincy High School.

She and her husband, the late George A. Rock, Sr., were married on February 3, 1951 in Hagerstown, MD. Mr. Rock died on June 13, 2004.

In her early life, Mrs. Rock worked at the Waynesboro Knitting Mill. However, she was a homemaker most of her life.

She was a member of the Waynesboro Bible Church, where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and served as a deaconess.

Mrs. Rock was known for her hospitality and supporting Operation Christmas Child. She also enjoyed flowers and collecting stuffed animals for children throughout the world.

She is survived by one daughter, Judy L. Benshoff, Fayetteville, three sons, George A. Rock, Jr., Fayetteville, Barry W. Rock and Randy L. Rock both of Pond Bank, 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Frances Wagaman of Waynesboro, Faye Quackenbos of Waynesboro, Mary Louise Sucik of Greencastle, Lucinda Kendall of Waynesboro and Eunice Stultz of York Springs, PA; one brother, Ray “Gene” Bakner, Jr. of Fort Loudon, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Danielle Rock in 1992; two great-granddaughters, Celeste in 2006 and Anastasia in 2009.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 20, 2024 in the Waynesboro Bible Church, 8216 Stottlemyer Road, Waynesboro with Pastor Darell Gentry and Pastor Joe Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Saturday morning, in the church.
