Linda Lou May, age 57, of Chambersburg, PA, unexpectedly went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at her home. Born in Greencastle, PA on April 1, 1968, she was the daughter of the late John J. “J.J.” Alleman and DeLee Ann Cordell Alleman.

Linda was a 1986 graduate of the Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School. Linda worked in the restaurant business, since high school; she was last employed at Wendy’s as the assistant manager for over 20 years. She was a faithful and very active member of Clayton Memorial Church in Mercersburg, PA. Linda loved to travel, especially cruising. She was very dedicated to her family, active with her girls’ activities including band and dance. Linda loved to spoil her only granddaughter, Riley anytime she could.

Surviving is her husband of 33 years, Lance E. May, whom she married September 14, 1991; two daughters, Brittany M. Neff (husband Dwight) of Waynesboro, PA and Brooke N. May (fiancé Logan Zagoric) of Camp Hill, PA; five siblings, John Alleman (wife Sandy) of Greencastle, PA, Julie Leister (husband Paul) of Greencastle, PA, Sue Powell of Greencastle, PA, Jay Alleman (wife Kelly) of Greencastle, PA, and Jeff Alleman (wife Megan) of Waynesboro, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Wilbur Alleman, nephew, Steaphen Alleman, sister-in-law, Saundra Alleman, and brother-in-law, Bruce Powell.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 11 AM at Clayton Memorial Church, 6701 Charlestown Rd., Mercersburg, PA 17236, where Pastor Rachel Elkins will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the church. Interment will follow the service in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg, PA. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Linda’s name to the Youth Pastor Parsonage Fund, www.cmcog.com/give.
