Mrs. Linda L. (Dull) Koons, 76, of Waynesboro, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025 in Hershey Medical Center.
Born December 23, 1948 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late George J. and Mary L. (Helman) Dull.
Mrs. Koons was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1968.
She and her husband of 57 years, Mr. Samuel J. Koons, were married March 15, 1968 in Bethel Assembly of Church, Hagerstown, MD.
Linda was employed in Environmental Services at Waynesboro Hospital. She retired after 29 ½ years of service.
She was a member of Blue Rock Church, Waynesboro and National AARP. Linda enjoyed traveling with her husband.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Koons is survived by two children, Samuel A. Koons and his wife, Tanja of Selinsgrove, PA and Barbara A. Weaver and her husband, Brian of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Ashley Weaver Kratochvil (Stephen), Cayla Koons Bob (Clayton) and Joshua Koons (Dominique Ulrich); three great-grandchildren, Koby Kratochvil, Lauren Bob and Savannah Bob; beloved sister, Donna Peiffer and her husband, Mark and their sons, Wayne, David and Douglas; and a number of nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 3, 2025 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Pastor Gregory Helman officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Tuesday in the funeral home.
