Leonard E. Wingert, age 75, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at
Mercy House of Chambersburg, PA. Born in Chambersburg, PA, on October 10, 1949, he was the son of
the late Irvin and Mary Reed Wingert.
Leonard was a 1971 graduate of The Penn State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in
Engineering. Mr. Wingert was a Mason by trade, working many years for Tolbert Masonry, where he
retired. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and butterflies.
Surviving are two siblings, Titus R. Wingert (wife Debra) of Three Springs, PA and Wilma Wible (husband
Dennis) of Huntingdon, PA; one niece, Breanna Owens (husband Brandon); five nephews, Jubal, Orisis,
and Thor (wife Brooklyn) Wingert, and Stephen (wife Heather) and Christopher (wife Katie) Wise; and
numerous other extended family.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 11 AM at Brechbill Cemetery, Ft. McCord
Rd., Chambersburg, PA. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc.,
Chambersburg, PA.
