Laurie Ann Wagaman, 63, of Waynesboro, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
Born March 14, 1961 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Mark W. Wagaman and Ruth E. (Keckler) Wagaman Rogers.
Laurie was a graduate of Waynesboro High School with the Class of 1979 and later received her degree in Health Information Technologies from Hagerstown Business College in 1999.
She was employed as a certified coding specialist at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, for the past 25 years.
She was a member of Eagles Club, Inc. and B.P.O. Elks Lodge #731 Ladies Auxiliary, both of Waynesboro.
Laurie enjoyed collecting vintage items of all kinds and was known for dancing in her kitchen. She especially enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and treasured the time she spent at the beach. Having no children of her own, she dearly loved her kitty cats and thought of them as her children.
Laurie leaves behind three siblings, Edward E. Wagaman and his wife, Ann of Vienna, VA, Cathy Katavich and her husband, Peter of Gilroy, CA and Connie Geesaman and her husband, Kevin of Waynesboro; nieces and nephews, Kelly Wagaman, Thomas Wagaman, Mallory Katavich Barnett and Corrine Katavich, Adam Geesaman and Andice Geesaman Goodrich; one great-niece; one great-nephew; her special friend, Richard Eigenbrode; and a host of extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Laurie’s Life will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., Saturday, July 27, 2024 in Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, 63 E. Main St., Waynesboro.
Arrangements are being handled by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
