Mr. Kenyon Shmdu Bey, Sr., 56, of Hagerstown, died Thursday afternoon, February 16, 2023, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown. He was the husband of Mrs. Veronica Sanchez Bey.
Born September 15, 1966, in Queens, New York, he was a son of the late Calvin James and Constance Toomer Perkins.
Mr. Bey was an electrician by trade and currently employed with Tradesmen International, LLC, Hagerstown.
Surviving, besides his wife, are his children Marilyn Young of Virginia, and Kenyon, Jr. and Jamhere Bey, both of Hagerstown; his grandchildren Zenyhon, Kemani and Laila; siblings Ebony Toomer of New York, and Karen Jaslyn of Thailand; his siter-in-law Renee Barnes of New Yorkas well as by a series of close friends Andre Pilozo, and Dionne Matthews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bey was preceded in death by brothers James Perkins and Jermaine Bailey.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, assisted the family with arrangements. There will not be visiting at the funeral home. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be Sunday, February 26, at Three Eleven, located at Mulberry Lofts, 22 North Mulberry Street, Suite 311, Hagerstown.
